EMERALD POOL AND CARIB TERRITORY-
This trip is Wednesday, and Theo will be the driver. The cost is 30EC a person. Emerald Pool is a beautiful waterfall pool in the middle of the rainforest. It’s a very easy hike and a wonderful place to swim! The Carib Territory is a GREAT place to buy those handmade baskets you’ve seen, as well as several other local crafts. It’s the cheapest place to buy these baskets! And of course, we will be stopping for Casava Bread! I know many of you may have gone on this trip with the school, but trust me, it is MUCH more fun with a smaller group! Please RSVP by Tuesday at noon. I’ll be on the subway deck to collect money 12-1 on TuesdayThe trip will leave from the shacks at 8:30. Bring water, your bathing suit and towel, lunch or a snack, and dry clothes to change into (there’s a place to change by the Emerald Pool trailhead).
ABA WAVINE CYRIQUE-
Sunday, 8:30 by the shacks- This is my favorite hike on the island by far! It is not suitable for children, as it is basically a climb down the side of a cliff, holding onto roots and ropes. It’s a LOT of fun. I’m afraid of heights and I did it, so you can too! It does take some arm strength, but we all have enough from hauling around groceries! The hike down isn’t long… and it is worth it! You’ll end up on a beautiful black sand beach where you watch a waterfall tumbling into the Atlantic ocean.  RSVP to sarequarles@gmail.com by Friday at five. The trip will be 30-35ec depending on the number of people who come. Hope you all come!

Monday April 6th to Sari Sari Falls.  Sari-Sari Falls requires a climb up through a narrow hole (just large enough for one person) between large boulders to reach the falls and pool. This 30 minute hike is moderate in difficulty level.  The hike begins through a banana plantation, then descends steeply into the Sari Sari River Gorge. Shaded by the canopy of lush rainforest and serenaded by the murmur of the river, we intrepidly trudge up the gorge until as if by enchantment the Sari Sari Falls appear and beckons us to come forward and swim in its refreshing pool.

If you are interested in going on this trip, please respond to Lily at lilliansuh@gmail.com by Sat noon.
