The trip to Sari-Sari Falls and Aba Wavine Cyrine will be this Friday, May 23, 2008.  This trip is one of the most challenging hikes available on Dominica. Sari-Sari Falls requires a climb up through a narrow hole (just large enough for one man) between large boulders to reach the falls and pool. This 30 minute hike is moderate in difficulty level. Aba Wavine Cyrique is a short climb down a steep embankment during which your primary support is a large thick rope and your own strength. Climbing down 3 different ropes and a rope ladder to reach the beach is much more challenging after having hiked the hour to and from Sari-Sari falls. This is NOT a hike for those who are afraid of heights or are not physically fit or capable of the precipitous climb please do not attend. The spectacular reward for those brave enough to complete the journey is the waterfall which lands on the beach and in in the waves of the Atlantic ocean. Paid members are welcome to bring their spouse/significant other (Friday is research day) for the members only price, which will be determined based upon the number of RSVPs received. Please RSVP for this trip no later than Wednesday at midnight by e-mailing rossspousesorg@gmail.com.
