This trip will take place on Wed, June 18.  This a medium difficulty hike takes you along the White River.  It can be a slippy walk but really rewarding.  It is a 3 to 4 hour round trip.  We will be leaving at 9:00 am.  Please pack water and a lunch.  If you plan to attend, please rsvp to rossrsvp@gmail.com.  Hope to see you there.

The trip to Secret Beach will be this Saturday, June 7th at 9:00 am at the docks at RUH.  Pack a lunch, snacks, towels, sunscreen, and swimmin gear as there are no ammenities.  It is an exciting trip and only a ten minute boat ride.  We will be back by noon.  RSVP to rossrsvp@gmail.com before Friday afternoon.  See you there.  If you have already rsvp’d, please bring money at 1:00 pm by the Day school where Larissa will collect money.  The cost is $25.00/person; children are free.

The monthly shopping trip to Roseau will be this Monday, June 9, 2008.  Please meet in front of The Shacks by 8:15 am.  If you plan to go, please RSVP by e-mailing rossrsvp@gmail.com by Saturday.  The cost will be between $25-$35 EC depending on the number of people going.

The first RSO meeting will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 1:00 pm on the subway deck.  If you haven’t paid your member fee and would like to, this would be a great time to do so.  The meeting is opened to all non-members and members as well.  Hope to see you there.

For all those spouses who are still interested in becoming a member of the RSO, Alia will be collecting money during the RSO bake sale on Thursday, May 29 between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.  The membership is $30 EC for the semester or $100 EC for four/five semesters.  Come by and visit if it’s only to support the bake sale.

Welcome to all the Incoming Spouses, Significant Others and Families arriving to the island this upcoming semester. The Ross Spouses Organization would like to cordially invite you to the New Spouse Orientation and Ross Spouses Organization’s Opening Social. The New Spouse Orientation is open to all new spouses, significant others and any other persons coming to the island to support their loved one during their journey through medical school. The Orientation will be held on May 13th at 9am until 1pm in Classroom 3. Attendees will be presented with helpful information from other spouses regarding life on the island. Attendees will also be provided with a lunch (lunch will not be provided for Ross students). The Ross Spouses Organization’s Opening Social will be held May 15th at Le Flambeau at 1:30 pm. The Opening Social will be a time to mingle with other spouses (both ones who are new to the island and those of us who have been here a while) while enjoying some appetizers which will be provided. Again both events are open to spouses, significant others and anyone else accompanying a student on the island. We look forward to seeing you at both events!
