This trip will take place on Tuesday, Oct 9.  This a medium difficulty hike which takes you along the White River.  It can be a slippy walk but really rewarding.  It is a 3 to 4 hour round trip.  We will be leaving at 8:30 am from the library.  Please pack water, a snack and a lunch.  The cost of the trip will be $35 EC (maybe less) to cover the cost of the transport. If you plan to attend, please rsvp to rossspousesorg@gmail.com.  Hope to see you there.

The second shopping trip of the semester will be on Friday, Oct 3, 2008.  We will leave at 8:30 am and return about 1:30 pm.  The trip includes stops to Astaphans, IGA and Breezy’s.   If you’d like to stop at other places like the Coke factory, arrangements can be made.  The cost is $25EC per person (children free).  Please rsvp to Chika at rossspousesorg@gmail.com

The trip to Batibou beach will be this Tuesday, Sept 30, 2008.  We will meet at the library at 8:30 am and return approximately 1:00 pm (unless we agree on an earlier time).  Batabou is a white sand beach, very exclusive and one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.  It is also one of the beaches where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed.  Bring a snack, drink and lunch as there are no facilities around.  The hike to the beach is easy but about 15 minutes in length.  It is worth the hike.  The beach is child-friendly.  The cost is 30 EC and will cover the cost of the transport.  Please RSVP to rossspousesorg@gmail.com.  

Just relaxing & chilling with friends and family on a nice & private beach.  Please remember to pack lunch for the family, there is no restaurant around for any food purchase.  Bring snorkeling gear as this is a great place to snorkel.

The first shopping trip to Roseau will be this Friday, Sept 12, 2008 and it is the only one that is free!  This trip will serve as a guide to the various places to buy food, household goods, imported goods, spices and other fun stuff.  The bus will be back by 2:00 pm so that first semester spouses can attend the white coat ceremony.  The best part is, the driver will drop you (and your goodies) off at your front door. All members of RSO are welcomed to attend the new spouses social at Le Flambeau at PBH on Thursday, Sept 11, 2008 at 1:30 pm.  Come out and meet the new spouses and mingle with the familiar ones as well.  Food and beverages will be served along side the fun games and activities we have planned for everyone.  See you there.

Sorry for the late post.  For this week, on Monday July 21, 2008 we will be going to Scott’s Head and Champaign Bay to snorkel.  The cost of the trip is just the cost of the transport.  Please e-mail rossrsvp@gmail.com for details and to reserve your spot on the bus.  Don’t forget to bring your snorkling gear.

Bake Sale is July 22nd during lunch.  We try and be there around 11:30 AM and we stay until 1:00 PM.  I need someone that is willing to work this bake sale and we also need people that are willing to bake.  Last bake sale each person that volunteered made 38.23 EC each.  So it’s worth it!  If your interested please email Alia at alia_nichole@yahoo.com
